Providence has to be governed in a way consistent with what it asks of others: distributed participation, transparent decision-making, legitimate dissent, and explicit refusal of the founder-as-permanent-authority pattern. Structural commitments include refusing advertising and surveillance revenue, and being legally structured so acquisition isn’t an available exit.
