11 · Cosmological Reliability

120 words, about 1 minute.

Cosmological Reliability is the sense of duty to increase the value of life that arises naturally from recognizing life’s value and the deep interdependence of all beings. It is trust in a well-ordered, intelligible cosmos — the universe met as a whole that holds together and can be relied upon — and it is entered through Ontological Authority, for only one who can stand steadily in their own being can come to trust the larger being they are part of. To find the cosmos reliable is not naivety; it is the mature discovery that the whole is more coherent than our fragments led us to fear, and that to align with that coherence is at once a duty and a relief.
