Toward the coherent substrate. Extraction lives in the quarter and the news cycle; it cannot see the generation it is spending. Building clocks slow enough to hold a watershed and a child not yet born installs the temporal organ a coherent civilization runs on. Part of the pivot is simply the recovery of long time.
