Coda: In Plain Terms

In plain terms: this is not a product you use; it is a path you walk — awakened by the app, deepened in retreats and a year of practice, until you are ready to help build. — Follow one woman at the Cardinal Scale: she arrived skeptical, felt something through the app she could not name, went to a gathering, stayed for the year-long, and four years on is helping a new community form. That arc is the product. Everything else serves it — and it is the arc Purposeful exists to support: the app's awakening, the retreats and the year-long deepening, the community at the end. It is how a reader becomes a builder.

Toward the coherent substrate. Extraction wants users it can hold; coherence wants people it can grow. The arc from the app's first awakening, through the gatherings and the year of shared development, to helping build a community, is human development itself — the opposite of being harvested. This is why we want to understand these things: not as data, but as the path by which a person becomes more themselves, and more able to be present with others.
