“The fulfillment of our desires, made to serve those around us.”
Mutual Beneficence is the commitment to engage life such that the fulfillment of our own desires serves those around us rather than costing them. It presupposes inherent value in every being and every encounter, and attends, always, to drawing that value further into the light. Where so much fulfillment in the extractive world is bought at another’s expense, here the fulfillment of self and other become a single motion — and, the work proposes, a field is thereby created in which evolution happens by proxy of all who practice it, each person’s flourishing quietly raising the floor for everyone they meet.
