The Smallest Nest

Here, then, is the whole of it, small enough to carry in one hand.
Coherence is the current.
Purpose is the pathway.
Providence is the loom.
And coherence, made visible, might become the currency.
Recognition is the first act, belonging the second, stewardship the last.
And a dragon named Earth is the image of what they make, but only ever when they are made together.
Something that large needs somewhere to begin. Not a throne, and not an empire, but a nest: small, woven, temporary, exactly the size of the thing it must cradle until it can fly. A room. A few people. A responsibility no one will set down.
Such a place may already be standing around you, or may be one stone away from being built. That is all the nest has ever been, the smallest structure in which the largest becoming can start. Everything in these six volumes was only trying to help you find it, and to say to you, before you began, why it was worth the building.
A human life can hold more capacity than it finds occasion to spend. The work comes down to building places where people can become, together, what none could become alone.
And now it is yours.
