Builders of the Coherent Civilization

The book has spent ten chapters arguing that coherent coordination infrastructure has to be built, and that the design space for building it has been radically underdeveloped relative to what the present moment requires. This chapter turns to the people doing the work. Not as a list of allies the book is endorsing. Not as a directory readers should join. As an honest report on the state of a field whose participants do not yet know they are a field.

There is more happening than is visible from any single vantage. There is also less than the urgency requires. Both are true at once, and the chapter has to hold both.
